A: Cilan Forest Recreation Area (Cilan Resort), Mingchi Forest Recreation Area (Mingchi Resort) and Divine Trees Garden are collectively known as Lealea Makauy Ecology Park. Cilan Resort and Mingchi Resort offer accommodation, dining, and guided tours. Divine Trees Garden is the largest Divine Trees cluster in Asia, and the largest red cypress garden in Taiwan, where there are also guided tour services and rest service areas in the park.

Answer: “Makauy”, in the aborigine language, is a mountain pepper that can be used in cooking.

Answer: We provide shuttle bus services by prepaid reservation. Shuttle buses to “Cilan Resort” pick up passengers at “Taipei Railroad Station (East Third Gate)”. This shuttle bus service must be reserved by phone in advance and prepaid. Reservations made on the day of the trip are not accepted, and passengers cannot board the bus without a reservation.

Can hotel guests at Cilan or Mingchi Resort bring pets or engage in open fire cooking? Answer: Pets, camping, open fire cooking, and barbecuing at the resort are not permitted.

Answer: There is a limit on the number of people that can be admitted into Divine Trees Garden, so we suggest that you should make your reservation early to ensure your admission.

Answer: Divine Trees Garden is in a restricted area that does not allow driving. It is necessary for visitors to take the shuttle bus from Cilan Resort or Mingchi Resort

Answer: About 4.5-5 hours round trip.

Answer: Divine Trees Garden is in type II forest roads forest protection area, which does not permit the admission of pets.

Answer: Divine Trees Garden shuttle buses let visitors out at the entrance while visitors eat and board the return bus at the exit (the Visitors Service Center). Therefore, it is impossible to eat first before starting the tour.

Answer: In the Divine Trees, there is a long trail (2.3 kilometers) and a short trail (1.2 kilometers). Visitors are advised to choose the trail according to their own condition. Because visitors get off and board the shuttle bus at different locations, turning back to where one started is not possible.

Answer: It rains often at Divine Trees Garden, located in the mountains, so you are well advised to have light rain gears ready along with bottled water and comfortable but non-slippery shoes. We suggest that seniors have trekking poles with them for support.

2. Click “ID Card Number” and fill in the ID card number in the back box;
3. Then click “Order password” and fill in the order password you set when you booked the room in the back box;
4. This brings you to your order job page. Click cancel.

Answer: Most cabins heave stand-alone water heaters. We suggest that you shower 15-20 minutes after the last person’s shower.

Answer: Signals are limited in the mountains. Guest rooms cannot get WIFI, but you can get free WIFI in public areas, the lobby, and the restaurant.

Answer: Pets are not allowed in guest rooms.

Answer: Mingchi Resort is 1250 meters above sea level, leaving it about 6-10 degrees Celsius lower than the low land. It is very cool and a nice summer resort. Guest rooms are equipped with electric fans.

Answer: Humidity is unavoidable in the mountains. However, dehumidifiers are in all our guest rooms to keep humidity to the lowest.

Answer: Cars can be in the cabin area for unloading, but they should be parked in the parking lot.
