Cilan Lodge is located within the misty forests of the Lily Magao Ecological Park, covering an area of approximately 20 square kilometers with minimal human interference. Originally named Cilan Nursery Guesthouse,’ it was renamed in honor of former President Chiang Kai-shek, who once resided here. Chiang Kai-shek Hall offers a glimpse into the artifacts, photos, and historical relics from President Chiang’s life.

Scenic Confluence of Three Rivers
Chiang Kai-shek Hall faces three small hills, symbolizing the ‘Three Turtles Bestowing Longevity.’ The convergence of the Llyung Mnibu River, Duowang, and Tangu-er rivers here forms a ‘Gathering of All Rivers,’ making it an excellent Feng Shui location and one of the spots for visitors to enjoy magnificent views.

Little Taishan Forest Bathing Trail
The Little Taishan trail stretches for 2.1 kilometers, meandering through the primeval forest. Natural ferns and vines can be spotted everywhere, and you can enjoy the forest’s rich oxygen. It’s advisable to wear casual sports shoes when walking the trail.

Forestry History Exhibition Area
To witness the efforts of the Forest Conservation Bureau in the process of Taiwan’s economic development and leave behind the history of forest development for future generations’ remembrance and education, a collection of machinery and equipment used in early logging, transportation, and processing has been gathered to create the ‘Veterans Forestry History Site.’ Among them, a roughly 600-meter-long elevated cable logging system and a set of transportation equipment are installed to dynamically demonstrate the logging and transportation operations conducted in the rugged mountainous terrain during the early years.
WOOD FOREST
Journey Through Asia’s Largest Sacred Tree Garden
The Sacred Tree Garden is the largest hinoki cypress sacred tree garden in the country! Nearly a hundred ancient hinoki cypress and Taiwan red cypress trees, all over a thousand years old, stand tall within the park, leaving visitors in awe. Each sacred tree in the park is named after historical sages and wise figures from past generations, cleverly combining tree age with historical personalities and dynasties, creating an unforgettable impression. The ancient hinoki cypress forest area even offers thoughtful amenities like long and short circular trails and rest facilities, providing visitors with the opportunity for a 1-2 hour journey through the ecological wonders of the Sacred Tree Garden.
